Mohammad Shams Aalam Shaikh who has set several records in Para Swimming has been awarded the 5th National Aastha Awards 2020-2021
Mohammad Shams Aalam Shaikh has been awarded National Role Model PwD Male in recognition of his efforts towards divyangjan and under privileged. By Aastha charitable & Welfare society, SNAC Bihar, The National Trust, Department of empowerment of persons with disabilities, Ministry of Social justice, government of India on 31st January 2021 at Patna.
Shams Alam has been awarded this award for his achievements in inspiring the disabled people of the society and working for the upliftment of the disabled and other backward classes.
Shams inaugurated the Asian Fit and Fight Club on 1 February 21 to inspire physical fitness. The club is opened by Karate coach Mohammad Ehtesham Sheikh. The club is located at Ibrahim Manzil, Kun Kun Singh Lane, Kedar Apartments, Patna- 800006.
Suraj Kumar (Treasurer Bihar Karate Union) and Pankaj Kambli (General Secretary Bihar Karate Union) along with Mohammed Shams Alam Sheikh (International Para Swimmer and Black Belt Shito Ryu Karate) also attended the inauguration as the Chief Guest.
Shams Alam said that the club has good training equipment and modern facilities.
